I have been sewing and creating for nearly 50 years, and have finally, over these last three years, realized that it is not only a passion, but my true purpose. This work, in the form it has taken - as a dressmaker and alterations specialist, has given me the space to get to know and understand myself, and to appreciate who I am and this Gift in a way that I had not until now.

Sewing and designing since the age of 12, I am completely self taught, and consider myself an artist and a creative before anything else. It is in my DNA. I come from a long line of amazing and under-celebrated artists from both my Mother’s and my Father’s sides. This gives me the ability to “think outside the button box”, and design and produce exactly what my clients are envisioning for the pieces that I create or alter for them. I only recently came to find that my paternal Grandmother, also Mildred Miller, was a seamstress herself!

Blending classic and timeless with an element of whimsy, I create looks that are at once elegant and uniquely expressive. In my younger years, I tended to rush and move more quickly than necessary. My craft has brought me to a place and helped to cultivate a more patient and steady pace with which I work. My attention to detail is remarkable, and sets me apart from others in the field, and the team at the studio and our culture are a reflection of those things.
